--- Seema Al-Shirawi ---
A government school graduate, Seema earned a full scholarship from the Ministry of Education and earned a B.Sc from Mcgill University, Canada. She taught at the University of Bahrain for 17 years, during which she gained an M.Sc in Applied Math. She taught mainly Engineering and Science first year students and loved being around students, helping them bring the best of themselves forth - whether it was in helping them learn a subject they needed for their career, or helping them realize that their talents and dreams lay elsewhere, and not in the learning path they had initially chosen!
Seema left University of Bahrain in 2001 for health issues, namely back pain and pursued alternative and holistic venues to improve health which led her to become a 'body' therapist. Following five years of training she became a Reiki master in 2006 and then attended the Karuna Institute in the UK to train in Craniosacral Biodynamics with Franklyn Sills, graduating in 2011 and becoming licensed by the NHRA in 2016.
Due to the nature of holistic health, which demands that mind, body and soul be aligned in relationship to each other, Seema decided to train in psychotherapy, to help her clients further with mental and emotional aspects of health. She is currently studying for an MA in 'Relational Mindfulness in Psychotherapeutic Practice' at the Karuna Institute/ Middlesex University, which will enable her to become a Core Process Psychotherapist.
